Beyond the mountains and valleys stood a great castle. The great castle was ruled by the mighty old King Ohrnos, who lived there with his beautiful daughter Aurora. This strange name described the king very well. The king was very powerful, arrogant and always walked around with his nose raised constantly ordering everyone around him. All the people in the castle were afraid of him.
Even the neighboring kingdom was afraid of him because he won every battle.
However, the king was not always like this, he could be good and kind, but everything changed when his beautiful wife, the queen, died a long time ago. But now everyone was afraid of the king except for one beautiful person, his only daughter, Princess Aurora. She was a good princess, her heart was in the right place and everyone in the castle loved her because she was kind and always helped everyone. She knew that her father, King Ohrnos, was a good man at heart, she loved him and wanted to open his cold heart. However, she still didn’t know how to make her father not be so arrogant and exalt himself above others.
Night flooded the royal valley with twinkling stars, and heavy drops of cold rain ran down the ornate windows of the royal chambers.
“Oh, if only there was something that would open my father’s heart,” – said the princess to herself, watching the drops trickle down the window of her chamber. Aurora sighed sadly, combed her golden curls with a brush, put on a white nightdress and lay down in her big pink bed. That rainy and gloomy night, the beautiful princess had a strange dream in which she was visited by a magical fairy.
In a dream, the golden-haired Princess Aurora and a fairy found themselves in a beautiful meadow full of flowers, where Princess Aurora turned around and saw her beautiful mother – the queen.
“Now the queen will give you valuable advice that will open the king’s cold heart,” the fairy said and flew away. But the dream still continued. The queen embraced her beautiful daughter Aurora, wiped away the tears running down her cheeks and whispered in her ear: “My beautiful daughter, do not grieve for my loss, I love you most in the world, as does your father, the king,” – The queen mother said to the princess and continued: “There is one thing that will open the king’s heart…. Go to the royal garden, chamomile is blooming there. Pick it and make a strong tea for the king. Because that’s what I used to do to my husband, the king, every day. It will surely open his heart,” the mother said kindly, kissing her daughter on the cheeks.
Then Princess Aurora woke up from her strange dream. She was sad, but also happy, because after a long time she saw her beautiful mother again – even if it was only a dream. It was early morning and the rain had long since stopped. The sun was streaming into her royal chamber, and the princess knew exactly what she had to do.
And how did it turn out? Did Princess Aurora manage to open the cold heart of her father, King Ohrnos? That, dear children, we will find out in the next part.
