Dear children, I’m sure you remember the magical story of Pirate Beard, who, together with his faithful friend Apollo the parrot, searched the ocean for a lost mysterious treasure. The captain’s dream was to find the treasure and lift his poor island out of poverty. As Captain Beard sailed across the wild Pacific Ocean on his pirate ship, after many years he finally stumbled upon the mysterious turtle-shaped island. But it was not just any island.
After exploring the island, Captain Beard came across a snake in the jungle that led him to a cave where a mysterious treasure was hidden. Captain Beard, correctly answered the snake’s questions and the snake gave him the treasure. Captain Beard told him that he wanted to use the treasure to lift his island out of poverty. And now we find out how the story continues.
The captain opened the black chest and found not only gold, but also diamonds. As he was about to take the chest to his ship, a pirate suddenly appeared behind him.
“Don’t move! Give me the treasure!” The young pirate drew his sword and pointed it at Captain Beard.
“The treasure is mine, after years of searching I have finally found it and I have answered the questions honestly,” the captain told him.
The pirates began to sword-fight among themselves. Apollo tried to help his captain as best he could, but he was just a parrot after all, so he just flew around the cave in confusion. The serpent, guardian of the chest, watched it all from a distance. Captain Beard fell to the ground after the young pirate injured his leg. He was already reaching for the mysterious chest when the snake wrapped itself around it again. He also asked the young pirate questions, but he couldn’t answer them correctly. He did not know the shape of the island, and he wanted the treasure for its own sake. All he wanted was to enrich himself.
The snake hissed something under his nose and the young cunning pirate fell into a deep sleep. Captain Beard bandaged the wound on his leg, held the treasure tightly in his arms at last, and crossed the dense jungle back to his ship.
The pirate and Apollo boarded the ship and began the long journey home. The mysterious serpent trusted him to keep his promise and wished him a safe journey home. Captain Beard and his Apollo were at sea again. They battled the unrelenting weather or the strong hot sun in the sky. Until, years later, their island appeared in front of them again.
The captain was already very old, like his parrot, but he was determined to restore wealth to his people. And so he did. The captain walked onto his island, the people still drowning in poverty. Poor children were running in the street and people were trying to catch something in the sea. The captain called all the people to the harbour and gave the people the food they needed, herbs or seeds to plant crops, water and clothes, everything his people needed. For the pirate had bought it all with the money from the treasure on his way home. All night long, his family and the whole island cheered and celebrated. They were grateful for all that Captain Beard had done for them. But he was resting on the deck of his ship after a long voyage of adventure.
The captain fell asleep and finally went to his well-deserved rest with his parrot Apollo. He was glad that he had finally done what he believed in. He knew that it was his good heart, not his greed, that had helped him do it.
