How Princess Aurora’s dream came true

Dear children, you must remember the beautiful Princess Aurora who lived in the castle with her father, the mighty and proud King Ohrnos. However, the princess saw the good in her father and wanted very much to open his frozen heart. She knew she had to change that, because she didn’t want everyone in the castle to be afraid of him.

On a gloomy night full of heavy drops falling on the castle, Princess Aurora had a strange dream. In her dream she found herself in a colourful meadow where she met a magical fairy who brought her to the princess’s mother, who had died many years ago. And it was in this magical dream that the queen gave her daughter Aurora valuable advice on how to open her father’s cold heart.

After a strange dream in which Aurora received advice from her mother, the princess knew what she had to do. In the dream, her mother, the Queen, advised her to make her father tea from the chamomile that blooms in the royal garden. It was the tea his wife, always made for him.

Golden-haired Aurora, full of hope from the dream she had that night, jumped out of bed, put on her pretty yellow dress and went to the royal garden. She wandered through the royal garden, singing happily. She was convinced that her mother was right and that it would really work out. And there, behind a beautiful flowering bush full of roses, was a chamomile.

Princess Aurora carefully bent down and picked white flowers, which she put in her basket. Then she went to the royal kitchen where she boiled water for tea. She put the flowers into the boiling water in the pot and waited for the tea. She then poured the tea from the pot into a decorated porcelain cup and went to her father’s royal chamber.

Her hands trembled as she walked through the corridors of the castle. It will work, it must, the princess thought nervously. Outside the windows of the castle, the birds sang happily, encouraging her on her way to the king’s chamber. The princess knocked gently on her father’s door.

“Please?” The king muttered under his breath. Aurora reached for the doorknob and slowly entered the great chamber. Her father was still in bed, for it was still early morning. “I brought you tea, Father,” the princess spoke carefully, handing the chamomile tea to her father. The king smiled weakly, and took the porcelain cup in his hand, the tea was still very hot… and slowly took a sip. Then the king wept. But it was not a cry of grief. It was a cry of joy.

“What’s wrong?” asked the princess standing over the king’s bed. “This is the best tea I’ve ever had. It reminded me of a wonderful time in my life,” said the king, standing up and giving his daughter her first warm embrace in years. And the princess’s dream came true. Her mother was right. One sip of tea opened the king’s cold heart that had been closed for so long.

Since that morning, the King has truly changed. He has come to respect and honour people, his pride was long forgotten. He cherished his daughter, Princess Aurora, and every morning they walked together in the royal garden, reminiscing about the beautiful times they had had together with the Queen. Aurora was finally happy and grateful for the dream she had, because it was that dream that opened the door to her father’s heart.
