Somewhere behind seven mountains and seven lakes, little bunny’s tooth aches.
Bing bunny was hiding under the bench and didn’t want to come out at any cost. This morning at breakfast time he bit into a carrot and it gave him a toothache. Flop told him he had to go to the dentist. But Bing was very, very afraid of her.
“Bing, come on. We should go now,” Flop scolded him.
“I’m very afraid, Flop. I don’t want to go to the dentist.”
“I know you’re scared, Bing. But the dentist will help you.”
But Bing was still trembling in his hiding place.
Luckily, Sula came by.
“Hi, Flop. Hey, are you guys playing hide and seek?”
“Hi, Sula. No, we aren’t playing hide and seek,” Flop explained. “Bing has a toothache and is afraid to go to the dentist.”
Sula knelt down next to the bench so she was right next to Bing.
“Bing, I’ve already been to the dentist. Trust me, you really don’t need to be afraid. She’s very nice.”
“But it hurts. I don’t want her touching my tooth at all,” Bing whined.
“She’ll fix it so it won’t hurt,” Sula explained to him.
“What if it hurts even more?”
“Does it hurt that much?” Sula asked.
“Hmmm.”
“Then it can’t get any worse, can it?” Sula smiled.
Bing laughed a little and climbed out from under the bench.
“I guess you’re right. It can’t get any worse. But I’m still scared.”
“I’ll come with you and hold your hand the whole time,” Sula promised him, and they headed off to the dentist together.
By the afternoon, Bing Bunnywas running around the meadow, hopping up and down with joy.
“Hello Bing,” Pando greeted him. “I see your tooth doesn’t hurt anymore.”
“Hello, Pando. It doesn’t hurt. I went to the dentist and she fixed it. I was scared at first, but when it was over I found out that I was actually scared for nothing. I won’t be scared next time. Now I can munch carrots again.”
“That’s good news, Bing. Let’s celebrate with ice cream, shall we?” suggested Pando.
“Yeah, yay!”
And so the tooth was saved and Bing and his friends had a very nice afternoon.
